Ward Temple and Family History Plan

Temple and Family History
Ward Temple Night – the next ward temple day/night will be on September 29, at 1pm or 7pm. We look forward to the opening of the St. George Temple in December, so this will be our ward family’s last opportunity to attend the Cedar City Temple together. The first opportunity to reserve a time for an appointment is July 1. Remember to take a family name to do the ordinances. If you need help getting a family name, contact Brother or Sister Hartman.
President Nelson said, “Heavenly Father has sent His children to earth for more than six millennia. Most of those people have not yet received the ordinances that would qualify them for eternal life. That is why temples are so significant. That is why the gathering of Israel on both sides of the veil is the most important cause on earth today.” — President Russell M. Nelson

Reservations can be made to attend the ward temple day/evening sessions now for Sept 29. Spaces are limited. There are only 15 spots for 1pm and 43 spots for 7pm.

Ministering interviews September 17, 1:00-3:00, @Shannon Bridge’s house.
The RS presidency is asking you to think about our third quarter goal as you prepare for your interview as set out by Shannon Bridge in her lesson a few weeks back:
RS Ministering Challenge for Third Quarter:
1. If there is a chance that your ministering sisters don’t know who you are, text (or talk) to them and introduce yourself.
2.  Get into the homes of your ministering sisters. It doesn’t need to be every month.
3. Take some time to think about who you minister to, what her specific needs are. Pray about what you can do to “represent the Savior in your ministering efforts” and do a little better than before, if needed.

Elder’s Quorum

Seniors/Empty Nesters
We are pausing our 2nd Monday activities for July and August.  Put the second Monday of September, the 11th, on your calendar.  This will be an interactive opportunity.  Brother and Sister Wilkes will host this one.  It will be a Dutch Oven Meal with all the trimmings.  If you would like to learn about “Dutch Oven Cooking,” or add your favorite Dutch Oven Dish, come early and join in on the fun of preparing.  More information as we get closer to the date!
