A new feature we are starting is a weekly “thought of the week” that goes along with this weeks “Come, Follow Me”. The plan is to post these a few days ahead of time in the Adults circle of the Gospel Living app and then post them in the bulletin. We’d love to have many different people help with this. Thought of the Week

There is nothing more important than feasting upon the Words of Christ. If we don’t, we starve spiritually, and eventually we’ll lose our way. Similarly, we don’t want to starve our families. Rather, pnce we have tasted how delicious the Words of Christ are, we should like Lehi desire to share the joy that comes from discovering gospel truths through the scriptures with our spouse, children and grandchildren.

I love Chuck-A-Rama. I love the variety of choices I can sample from. It’s fun to experiment and sample little tastes of lots of wholesome food. Likewise, we should delight in sampling the scriptures, and as we do our hearts should be filled with gratitude that these truths were hid up in the earth to come forth in our time, to bring us and the world to Christ.

As we feast upon the Words of Christ we should notice three things happening in our lives:

1) Increased spiritual capacity; 2) recognizing our true identify as spiritual sons and daughters of Heavenly Father; and 3) touching the hearts and lifting the lives of others.

As President Russell M. Nelson has said: “(I)n coming days, it will not be possible to survive spiritually without the guiding, directing, comforting, and constant influence of the Holy Ghost.”

It’s my prayer that we’ll find all three things happening in our lives throughout the coming week as we earnestly feast upon Chapters 31-33 of Second Nephi so that we’ll have the constant influence of the Holy Ghost in our lives.
